Motorcycle Missions helping veterans/ first responders cope with PTSD
Krystal Hess formed the Non-Profit Corporation to help veterans and first responders suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) participate in an unconventional form of therapy —custom bike building. Krystal was a pediatric and surgical nurse from Canada. She founded Motorcycle Missions in the wake of her own traumatic experiences dealing with an abusive marriage. After leaving the marriage and moving to Texas with a loved one, Krystal faced more trauma but found new life in motorcycle building.“I just knew motorcycles were my life – they became my therapy and my way to cope. My mission is to help individuals with PTSD and suicidal ideation find hope and balance through motorcycling. I don’t know where I’d be without motorcycles, so I hope to help others find the same passion.”Krystal Read Krystal’s story at http://www.motorcycle-missions.org/
